Briggs Nisbet writes and gardens in Oakland, California.

Briggs is the creator of True Dirt a popular blog on gardening, nature, and life.

She cofounded Enterzone and was its Nonfiction Editor from 1994 to 1998. She is also a contributor to Telegraph, Enterzone's inchoate successor, and to Edgewise, a political weblog.
