what is a blogHUD?

The 'blogHUD' is a 'heads-up-device' for Second Life.

It allows the owner to easily post a blog entry to bloghud.com, or as a PRO user you can post to your own external blog, if supported. Posts come with a map location of where you posted from in Second Life, along with RSS feeds to subscribe to for your favourite people or places.

    I was trying to make the arch look round with flexi prims. The things seem to wiggle on there own when you first see them and every few minutes. I ended up removing the flexi and just using more prims.

    I've seen that somewhere as well. I much prefer the image editing in a graphics program though. A sim is very large. Even with the RAW file, you still end up having to smooth everything out once it is uploaded.

    HOW TO USE THE blogHUD

    Residents in SL wearing the blogHUD post by simply typing:

    /9 your message here

    done!

    To create a longer post, you need to create a notecard in your inventory, type what you want to say then save it. Then drag and drop it from your inventory to the blogHUD. It will then read the contents of the notecard and prompt you for a title to this post. NB: TEXT ONLY notecards please. No embedded links or images - it will not work. It will break it.

    Type: /9 your long post title

    And that's it! Hurrah!

    As well as creating a landmark on the map and adding entries to an RSS feed from all other users of the blogHUD, you can also filter posts made by a specific Second Life resident who uses the blogHUD by visiting my.bloghud.com/firstnamelastname
