Good night, Kansas City

A couple weeks ago, with my move to New York City on the horizon, I was fortunate to pick up a freelance assignment for KCPT at the new Kaufman Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Kansas City, Mo. After growing up in the area and then living in Columbia (a two-hour drive) for nine and half years, it was nice to see the city and of course my family one more time. After the performance was over, I climbed the stairs up to the Liberty Memorial and spent some time taking in the sights. New York City’s skyline is breathtaking, but the Kansas City skyline will always feel like home.
