The clock’s ticking, and we’re only two maps away from the end of the regular season.  This week teams will play on cp_process_b6, a new map to ESEA competition.  New maps mean teams have had less time to fine-tune the details (or even create solid strategies), so we may see some less-experienced teams bridge gaps this week.  The timing couldn’t be more crucial for spectators as we watch match results and wonder which teams will make the play-offs for Season 11.

Help Send Mihaly's Flow to LAN

Graham

At this time, we are about halfway done with ESEA Season 11. Most teams have played at least eight matches, with eight more and then playoffs on the horizon. One team in particular, Mihaly's Flow, is the only team in the Invite division with an undefeated record. Standing at 9-0 with 40 rounds for and 15 rounds against, FLOW has had notable victories over its three biggest rivals: srsly br0, Quantic Legacy, and Classic Mixup. The team has also had to fight off challengers like makes Sense and High Rollers Gaming, giving up points to both of these teams on cp_gullywash. Although the team has been in control of many of its matches, others have been stunning comebacks (like the Classic Mixup cp_warmfront match, seen here from Soldier ww's perspective) or narrow triumphs (like the Quantic Legacy cp_snakewater match, seen here from Demoman soup's perspective).

Since CommFT decided to sponsor Mihaly's Flow at the beginning of the season, we have embedded streams and VODs, linked stats and demos, and compiled the accomplishments of the team's members. All of this information has been gathered on what we have named the Mihaly's Flow Team Hub. This page has all of the latest information on the team and their activities as they progress through the season. It also has a link that says "Donate" and it is the total shown above this link that has resulted in this news post.

The fact is that only three people have donated so far for a total of roughly $60. Although we appreciate these three individuals' contributions, the team needs more donations to be able to make it to the ESEA LAN. At this point, it is clear that the team will earn a spot at the LAN given their record and, as can be seen from the team page, the team members must be flown to Dallas, Texas from Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Utah. Once they arrive in Dallas, they will be staying in one of the event hotels (Sterling Hotel Dallas or La Quinta Inn & Suites Dallas Love Field) and eating meals at area restaurants. Given the costs of flights, hotels, and meals, I expect the team to need around $2000 for their trip.

Even though the ESEA LAN takes place from June 29th - July 1st, we cannot wait until the last minute to gather the cash necessary to help PYYYOUR and the team get to the event. I am calling upon the members of the TF2 community to lend a few bucks in the coming weeks to help send one of the best teams in North American 6v6 to the biggest TF2 tournament of the summer. Since we were able to send The Experiment to the Season 9 ESEA LAN, I know that we can do it again this time. Feel free to add comments to this post if you have any questions for the team.

Mihaly's Flow vs. srsly br0 II eXtv CAST TONIGHT!!

neko

It’s rematch time in ESEA-Invite, and eXtv brings you all the action (plus a little extra) tonight when they cast the currently first and second-ranked Mihaly’s Flow vs. srsly br0.  One is undefeated and the other lost only one game, by one point, to the first.  We’d better grab our notepads and our popcorn because this should be the most exciting (and informative) game so far this season!
