Outdoor Team Building OpportunityMonday, May 21, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. We are looking for a group of 15 volunteers to help Marvin Lewis Community Fund take down a huge tent that was used for an event in to benefit kids & education. This month we are focused on volunteering to support food mobilization. People of all ages and abilities want to live a healthy, independent life. To help ensure that's possible, United Way invests in programs that promote wellness, independence and social engagement. Home delivered meals provide a consistent, nutritional diet and companionship to seniors and individuals with disabilities. Food pantries meet the needs of hungry and homeless people in our community and help them maintain their health as they work towards financial independence.
Letter Carriers Food DriveSaturday, May 12 Collect and bag unexpired non-perishable food item like canned meats, fish, soup, bottled juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal and rice that do not require refrigeration (no glass). Place by your mailbox for letter carrier to deliver to a local food bank or pantry. Locally, food will be distributed through Freestore Foodbank and Shared Harvest. National
Freestore Foodbank Hunger WalkMonday, May 28, 6:30 - 11:30 a.m. Volunteers will help with registration and other race needs at this event to support more than 350 community partners, including food pantries, soup kitchens and social service agencies in our community. Cincinnati, OH
Assemble Meals for Wesley Community ServicesMonday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Provides services to support seniors to remain independent for as long as possible. Food Pick-up and Organization at The ClearinghouseMon & Wed, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The Clearinghouse provides emergency food and assistance for families and individuals in Dearborn and Ohio counties in Indiana. Meals on Wheels Driver for Episcopal Retirement HomesMonday - Friday, 10:30 a.m. - noon Volunteers are at the heart of Meals on Wheels, delivering a combined 300 meals a day, and bringing a friendly voice and conversation into clients’ homes.
