Silicon Pastures

Silicon Pastures, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a premier local network of angel investors and strategic partners for emerging businesses, especially those based in the Midwest. The group's central focus is on technology companies, with an emphasis on Wisconsin's core industries.

Silicon Pastures hosts monthly presentations at upscale Milwaukee-area restaurants. Each presentation consists of a new pre-screened investment opportunity. Members then meet privately to discuss the viability of the investment. Each member makes an individual decision whether or not to invest.

Founded in 2000, Silicon Pastures members have realized excellent returns on their investments. Recently, two such investments have had liquidity events. UltraVisual Medical Systems merged with Emageon, Inc. (EMAG) and went public with a market cap of over $300 million in February 2005. Another investment, BUYSEASONS, Inc., recently announced that it has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Liberty Media Corporation that is expected to close in 3Q 2006.
