About us

Posted by admin on March 16th 2011

Johnny and Sylvia McElherron would like to extend to you a very warm welcome to The Watch Press!

We are delighted to invite you to browse through our regular features and articles as well as our extensive archive, compiled since 2009.

As you’re here on this page, it’s quite likely that you share our own passion for – and fascination of – all things watch-related. We do hope that you will find our articles and musings to be informative and entertaining as we bring to you a glimpse and our views on the latest creations of the world’s foremost modern watchmakers with their novel, exciting and sometimes wild and breathtaking interpretations of this centuries-old craft, as well as the established grandes maisons, many with rich histories and tradition which can be followed all the way back to the very origins of horology, hundreds of years ago.

At The Watch Press, we write original articles based on press releases and other available information, but we are at pains to stress that we are independent from any watch company so you may be assured that the views or reviews which you read here are our own unbiased opinions and are expressed uniquely, in our own way.

If you share our interest and you like our style then we have but one simple request:

- Please click that Facebook  ‘Like’ button right there – so we can really build a solid base of readers and followers and develop what we do here at The Watch Press.

Although for us it is very enjoyable to research and write about these little machines of beauty and technical excellence we do sometimes wonder who we are doing it for if we don’t know who’s reading us, so please help us a little and let us know you’re out there.

‘Like’ us on Facebook, subscribe to our RSS feed, comment on our articles or alternatively just drop us an email to features@thewatchpress.com.

We have a number of innovative concepts which we will be building into our site as we constantly look to ways of enhance your experience on The Watch Press or on our social media, without getting too much in your face!

We would love to grow The Watch Press – organically, and to interested people – by recommendation or word of mouth and by spreading the word and telling others about us, you, our reader can help us to achieve this goal.

Meanwhile, we will continue to bring you our articles and reviews and we hope that you will continue to enjoy them as much as we enjoy having your company here!

Thank you.

Johnny and Sylvia
