Motorcycle vs. Car
|
|
Woodland Police and fire crews responded Wednesday to a motorcycle vs. car accident on East Street shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday. According to eye witness accounts, a late model Purple Chevrolet Impala heading northbound on East made an unsafe turn onto Pendegast directly in front of a man heading southbound on East St. on a motorcycle. "The car pulled in front of him," Jerry Howard, a Culligan driver who witnessed the accident, said. "The car just gunned it." According to Howard, the motorcyclist complained of pain in his left shoulder. "He hit pretty hard; about 30 to 35 right in the side of him. It was loud," Howard said. Woodland Police were unable to comment on the accident by press time. (Deo Ferrer/Democrat)
