Graphic Design

Graphic design is more than just cool logo designs and pretty brochures. Your graphic designer needs to know the right questions to ask. How many colors are allowed in the piece? Will it bleed? What format does your printer want the files? Who’s your target audience? If the graphic designer you hire doesn’t know their EPS from their DPI, you might be in for a headache.

I’ve been designing for the print industry since 2000. I’ve worked on everything from one-color logo designs to giant, full-color billboard designs. No two projects are alike and neither are any two clients. Each print job needs to be approached with a fresh palette.

‘N Gratitude Publishing’s Linda Pace Samuel originally hired me to design the cover of her new book – A Mother for Celeste. After establishing a great working relationship, she further asked me to design promotional pieces for her book and the cover to her second book. Once she was ready to start her own publishing company, Linda had me design her company logo, business card and website.

OrderMotion, a software development company out of Burlington, MA, called on me to design several of their business envelopes, thank you cards, ad templates and insert templates.

After NeonWest, a country-rock band from Los Angeles, California, sent me images from their professional photo shoot and a logo concept sketched on a napkin, I set out to create their promotional print materials. This included a poster design, a postcard for passing out at shows, CD and CD sleeve design for their first EP, business cards and the logo.

I was approached by People You Need to Know Magazine to design a few full-page ads for their annual publication highlighting businesses in Atlanta, Georgia. After several years of working together, I have continued to help them produce their annual magazine as well as their new quarterly newspaper, business cards, postcards and online ads.

Quilting Treasures of Cranston, RI brought me on to design a few of their online ads. Since then I have been asked to design their print ads, instructional project sheets and catalog layouts.

When this new breakfast place was getting ready to open its doors, the owners of the Fresh Start Café asked me to design their logo and menus. They were looking for a happy little illustrated design for the menus.
