PUZZLE RULES with illustrations
To solve the puzzle you must fill in empty coconuts on a grid so that each row, column, 3x3 box and diagonal lines contain all the digits. 1 through 9 (no repeats)
KOKONOTSU instructions
1. Eliminating values

The value at (3,7) is not known. |

It cannot be 2 or 8, since those occur in the same row |
|
| |
It cannot be 3 or 9, since those occur in the same column. |
|
| |
It cannot be 4, 5, 6, or 8 since those also occur on the diagonal. |
|
| |
It cannot be 1, 6, or 8 since those occur in the same box. |
|
This means it must be 7 |

2. Eliminating places
Example 1:

Eliminate places that occur in the same row or column as any other 1. |

This leaves only one spot |

Eliminate places that occur in the same column, box, or diagonal as any other 8. |

3. Restrictions
