Tantra for Men |

Tantra teaches us that ejaculation and orgasm are not the
same thing and they don't necessarily
have to go together. Orgasm can
occur separately.

Tantric Sex: An Erotic Meditation
One aspect of tantric sex for men focuses on transmuting sexual energy by learning not to ejaculate. This can
become a spiritually empowering practice, as well as a way to extend the pleasure of intercourse. The Taoists
speak about the health-giving aspects of withholding semen, while Gedun Chopel wrote about the pleasure of not
reaching for more pleasure, and the states of ecstatic consciousness that open up when one is not attached to
or striving for more pleasure.
The Roots of Tantra
Tantra, or Vajrayana, (meaning "The Diamond Vehicle"), influenced Buddhism in Tibet, Bhutan, Nepal, Ladakh
and Mongolia thousands of years ago. Rather than removing ones self from stimulating influences and upsetting
emotions in order to focus on transcendence, the Vajrayana practices embrace paradoxical and contradictory states.
Practitioners experience what is beyond the polarities of life, such as pleasure and pain, attraction and repulsion.
Profound and intense feelings arise in meditation. As the energies are deeply experienced, they begin to change form
and yield to a spacious, grounded sense of balance. The Buddhists call this natural state of goodness the ground of being.
We experience it as a feeling of tenderness, joy, fluidity, generosity and peace.

How to Find a Tantra Teacher
You've heard about merging sex with spirit through Tantra. You hope learning to practice sacred sexuality with your beloved will heal the
gaps of intimacy in your relationship. You never had a "Sex 101" class and feel as a novice drawn to the Kama Sutra and claims attributed
to tantric sex. You're drawn to the claims of multiple cosmic orgasms, lovemaking for hours, reaching an altered state of ecstatic bliss
through sexual mediation. You're hoping to find yourself through the spiritual development that is Tantra's heritage and backbone.
Well, all good reasons to embark on the Tantric path. But now you've got a problem. What's the best way to proceed? If you've read anything
about Tantra, no matter how valuable the information was, you realize that Tantra is about experience, not knowledge. So the decision that
faces you is how to choose a teacher who can guide you towards experiencing what you want personally.

What is Tantra?
Like meditation and yoga, Tantric sex is a spiritual practice. It is not aimed at self-indulgence or pleasure as an end in itself.
Tantra uses sexual energy, with all of its rawness, social stigma, fear, and vulnerability to crack open our egos so that we can be present
with our lovers, and ultimately, with ourselves.
The sacred sexuality seeker may find that many of the components of ancient Tantric practices integrate well with our daily lives. In fact,
the experiences one has can give one tools for being more present and aware in all aspects of life.
It is sometimes called the sexual yoga, though this concept can be misinterpreted. Yoga is another term associated with practices
that help to unify apparent opposites. When doing yoga, you are actually performing an active meditation, focusing your energy on internal,
as well as external, points. You bring much more awareness to the body and mind with yoga. In Tantric sexual practices the same is true.
The beauty of Tantra is that it is a partnered path of learning. Trusting another with your personal growth is the ultimate act of
surrender--and surrendering is where breakthroughs can happen. Two people taking conscious risks that gently stretch the limits of their
comfort zones can realize great growth individually and as partners.

Sex Positions for Female Orgasms
Surveys and sexuality reports tell us that roughly only 20% of sexually active women have orgasms during intercourse.
Assumptions will need to be made about that number because we don't know if that includes manual stimulation of the clitoris
during intercourse or not and several other issues that might skew the statistics. Let's work with that number, however.
Orgasms are important to women no matter how convincing the idea of being in the pleasure without being goal oriented.
Some of the time you can do this and some of the time you want an orgasm, pure and simple. Cultural constraints, modern
media, lovers and friends can all influence how you might feel about your body, emotions and your ability to orgasm. You
want what she's having and you want it now. If that's the case with you then you're going to have to know a whole lot more
about your body and how it works in order to journey to the fertile fields of G-spot and vaginal orgasms. The positions
come after you have the knowledge of your interior topography down and know your hot-spots from your not-spots. Self-pleasuring
is the necessary evil! Set aside the time to spend with yourself soon. An hour three days a week should do it.

The Complete Text: "The Kama Sutra of Vatsayayana"
In the literature of all countries there will be found a number of works focused on the subject of love. Everywhere the subject is dealt with differently, and from various points of view. This is a complete translation of what is considered the standard work on love in Sanscrit literature, and which is called the 'Vatsyayana Kama Sutra', or Aphorisms on Love, by Vatsyayana.
