Our Produce

spacer Winter Means Rest.  For our soil, ourselves, and our market.

You can still support lovely farms and farmers in the off-season.  Here are our favorite ways to shop locally in the wintertime…

1. Shop delicious produce at the Year-Round Farmers’ Markets in NYC

2. Feed those who need it most at the Greenpoint Reformed Church Soup Kitchen

3. Get ready for spring by order seeds from Hudson Valley Seed Library or Johnnys or Seed Savers Exchange or High Mowing Seeds or Silver Heights Farm.

4. Asking friends, family and ourselves to donate their holiday checks to Post-Hurricane Irene relief efforts like CSA Shares and Gifts from Evolutionary Organics.

5. Remembering beautiful seasons’ past & celebrating local food by giving others photographs of Eagle Street Rooftop Farm by Scott Nyerges.

6. Taking a load off at the most beautiful place in the Hudson Valley with an Air B & B Vacation at Liberty View Farm

7. Eating winter-delicious local food at Rooftop Farm-friends’ tables throughout Brooklyn: Eat, Marlow and Sons, Champion Coffee, Eastern District, Cafe Grumpy, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Brooklyn Brewery, McClure’s Pickles, Ovenly, Brooklyn Brine, and the Brooklyn Kitchen.

8. Visiting our winter markets, as posted on our calendar.
