SIMES
Lanc en 1997, le projet SIMES, ou Systme
dInformation Multimedia pour Environnement
Subsaharien (WISE-DEV) est un projet financ
par lUnion Europenne et la Banque Mondiale. Il
vise associer des partenaires africains et
europens pour lapplication et ladaptation des
nouvelles technologies de linformation la
comprhension et la matrise de
lenvironnement subsaharien. Les mthodes et
outils conus pour ce systme composent une
bote outils intgre sur le web. SIMES est
galement un projet scientifique trs fdrateur
pour les quipes de recherche.
Initiated in 1997, the SIMES project for a
Multimedia Information System for the
Sub-Saharan Environment (WISE-DEV) is a project
funded by the European Union and the World Bank.
It aims to bring African and European partners
together to apply and adapt new information
technologies to understanding and controlling
the sub-Saharan environment. The methods and
tools designed for this system form an online
integrated toolbox. SIMES is also a scientific
project playing a great unifying role for
research teams.
SARIMA
SARIMA est un projet dveloppant un modle de
coopration quilibre entre quipes de
recherche au Nord et au Sud en informatique et
mathmatiques appliques. Il renforce une
structure en rseau des ples dexcellence en
sappuyant sur des thses en co-tutelle. La
premire tape (2004 2008), finance par le
ministre des Affaires trangres et europennes
(Fonds de Solidarit Prioritaire), fut anime
par un Groupement dIntrt Scientifique
associant lINRIA, le Centre International de
Mathmatiques Pures et Appliques (CIMPA) et les
universits de Nice-Sophia-Antipolis, de Metz et
de Rennes 1.
SARIMA is a project developing a cooperation
model that is balanced between research teams
from the North and the South in the field of
computer science and applied mathematics. It
supports a networked structure of centres of
excellence based on jointly-supervised theses.
The first stage (2004-2008), financed by the
Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs
(Priority Solidarity Fund), was run by the
scientific interest grouping combining INRIA,
the International Center for Pure and Applied
Mathematics (ICPAM), and the universities of
Nice-Sophia-Antipolis, Metz and Rennes 1.
SIST
Lanc en 2003, SIST (Systme dInformation
Scientifique et Technique) est un projet de
coopration du ministre franais des Affaires
trangres et europennes. Il vise dsenclaver
la recherche africaine, promouvoir une
dynamique de lexpertise et mettre la science
africaine au service du dveloppement durable.
SIST se dcline en trois volets : la mise en
place dun systme dinformation dans chaque
pays partenaire du projet, la cration de
rseaux dexpertise sur des thmes prioritaires,
la formation et le transfert dexpertise. Le
Cirad a assur la matrise duvre du projet, en
liaison avec les pays bnficiaires.
Launched in 2003, SIST (for Scientific and
Technical Information System) is a cooperation
project under the French Ministry for Foreign
and European Affairs. Its aim is to open up
African research, promote a culture of expertise
and ensure science in Africa supports
sustainable development. There are three aspects
to SIST, i.e. setting up an information system
in each of the projects partner countries,
creating expert networks in priority subject
areas, and education and knowledge transfer.
CIRAD is managing the project, in liaison with
beneficiary countries.
ARIMA
ARIMA est la revue Africaine de Recherche en
Informatique et Mathmatiques Appliques. Elle
est ne en 2002 dune collaboration scientifique
Nord/Sud mene pendant plus de dix ans autour du
CARI. Elle met en valeur les rsultats de
recherche issus de ces cooprations en couvrant
tous les sujets de recherche de linformatique
et des mathmatiques appliques. Elle est
ouverte tout chercheur des domaines
scientifiques indiqus et soutient les auteurs
darticles dcrivant des travaux raliss entre
Afrique et pays du Nord ou entirement raliss
au Sud.
ARIMA is the African journal of Research in
Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. It
emerged in 2002 from over ten years of
North/South scientific collaboration within CARI.
It showcases research findings from such
cooperation, covering all research subjects in
computer science and applied mathematics. It is
open to any researcher from the scientific areas
indicated, and supports the authors of articles
describing work carried out either by Africa and
northern countries together or solely by
southern countries.
LIRIMA
Cr en novembre 2009, le Laboratoire
international de recherche en informatique et
mathmatiques appliques est un rseau dquipes
de recherche hberges par des partenaires
institutionnels en Afrique ou en France. Ce
laboratoire a son sige Yaound. Il lie
aujourdhui lINRIA six universits ou
instituts africains et reste ouvert la
participation de nouveaux membres en Afrique. Il
a pour objectif de promouvoir, dans des quipes
franco-africaines, une recherche de haut niveau
en informatique en relation avec les
problmatiques de dveloppement conomique et
social.
Set up in November 2009, the International
Laboratory for Research in Computer Science and
Applied Mathematics (LIRIMA) is a network of
teams hosted by institutional partners in Africa
or France. The laboratorys head office is in
Yaound. It currently links INRIA to six African
universities or institutes, and remains open to
involvement from new members in Africa. Its
objective is to promote, within Franco-African
teams, top-level research into computer science
relevant to the issues in economic and social
development.

Pour reprsenter le potentiel terrestre sur une
rgion donne, on recherche une base
dharmoniques sphriques localises. Ici est
reprsent le 4e vecteur dune base localise
sur le continent Africain. Travaux et images
