    • Birds Eye View Birds Eye View celebrates & supports international women filmmakers. Founded as a short film event in 2002, they registered as a charity in 2004 and launched the UK’s first major women’s film festival in 2005.
    • Central Illinois Feminist Film Festival This film festival promotes the mission of Central Illinois’ Women’s Studies Program: to promote an understanding of how issues related to gender, age, race, economic status, sexual identity, and nationality affect women’s lives.
    • Fusion Film Festival The Fusion Film Festival was founded nine years ago at New York University with the mission of encouraging, promoting and inspiring women filmmakers in the NYU Community. Fusion also strongly encourages collaboration between male and female filmmakers.
    • LA Femme International Film Festival LA Femme is a premier festival that focuses on platforming women filmmakers “for women by everyone”. It was created in 2005, when it became apparent that there was a need to enhance women behind the camera as Directors, Producers, and Writers.
    • Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival This festival is produced by the Alliance of Women Filmmakers, which seeks to empower women filmmakers to create diverse roles for women. Each year in March the festival showcases narratives, documentaries, animation and student short films.
    • St. John's International Women’s Film Festival SJIWFF is one of the longest running women’s film festivals in the world. Established in 1989 to support women filmmakers, SJIWFF produces several screenings, workshops and other events throughout the year.
    • Through Women's Eyes Film Festival Through Women’s Eyes is an international film festival featuring the work of female filmmakers.
    • Vancouver Women in Film Festival Since 2006, VWIFF has showcased an impressive line-up of short and feature films (narrative, documentary and animation) by established and emerging women filmmakers from around the world. The Festival’s presented by Women in Film and Television Vancouver.

    • Moxie Films: Bringing Artistic Voices to the Forefront The Moxie Films Program supports under-served artists.     • National Assembly of State Arts Agencies The National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) is the membership organization that unites, represents and serves the nation’s state and jurisdictional arts agencies.
    • New York Foundation for the Arts Grant, Award, Program Source NYFA Source is a national directory of awards, services, and publications for artists. Listings include over 4,200 arts organizations, 2,900 award programs, 4,200 service programs and 900 publications for individual artists across the country.
    • SFFS/Film Arts Foundation Documentary Grant The San Francisco Film Society provides grants to help documentary films in post production.
    • The Adrienne Shelly Foundation The Adrienne Shelly Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to actor and filmmaker Adrienne Shelly, whose life was tragically cut short in 2006. To continue Adrienne’s dream, the foundation aims to help women achieve their own filmmaking dreams.
    • The Fledgling Fund: Helping Innovative Projects Take Flight With approximately $1.5 million in funding disbursed annually, they are interested in making grants and investments that help fledgling projects take flight. They are interested supporting projects about girls’ empowerment and women’s leadership.
    • The Global Film Initiative promotes cross-cultural understanding through the medium of cinema. The Initiative has developed four complementary programs to promote both the production of authentic and accessible stories created in the developing world and their distribution.

    • Frameline: The Best in LGBT Media since 1997 Frameline supports LGBT filmmakers through grants, awards and programs, believing that independent LGBT film is vital in a world dominated by formulaic and oversimplified images in commercial media.
