Soundtap F.A.Q.

What is Soundtap?
Soundtap is the only crowd-sourced, show-specific way to enjoy independent radio.
All of the stations are non-commercial (college or community) radio stations and all of the shows are added by users.

What is Soundtap Madness 2012?
Soundtap Madness is an online listening tournament (March 15th - April 1st).
The "top 64 stations" were selected based on the number of plays logged on Soundtap in the last 90 days.
The teams were seeded and matched in head to head pairings, in standard bracket fashion.
The station with more accumulated listening time accumulated through Soundtap streaming advances to the next round.
Users must be logged in to score listening time for the station and each user can score a maximum of 90 minutes per day per station.
The scores reset each round.
We have taken care to avoid using any trademarked terms in the Madness tournament.

Does Soundtap archive shows?
Although we have in the past, we no longer archive shows.
Stations may opt out of having their streams broadcasted.

What is your privacy policy?
Soundtap will never sell or distribute any user data.

Why did you create Soundtap?
The project is entirely passion driven to promote non-commercial radio.

More about Soundtap's functionality:
Can I add radio shows to the site?
Yes, as long as the station is in our database. Just click 'add show' on the menu bar and enter the show details.

Can I add a station to the database?
Send us a message and we'll add almost any non-commercial station that you like.

Where does Soundtap get the streams?
Our streams are relayed directly from each station's original stream.

How can I contact you?
Email feedback@soundtap.com or call the Soundtap hotline any time at (650) 434-2TAP.
