3rd International Digital Curation Conference in Washington DC - The CNI, DCC and NSF have announced that the 3rd International Digital Curation Conference will be held in Washington DC over 12-13 December 2007 following the Fall 2007 CNI Task Force meeting. The theme this year is "Curating our Digital Scientific Heritage: a Global Collaborative Challenge". The conference will focus on emerging strategy, policy implementation, leading-edge research and practitioner experience. It will comprise peer-reviewed papers, invited presentations and keynote international speakers. (2007-04-03) Vacancy for Research Officer - UKOLN has a vacancy for a Research Officer to work on the SCARP Project. The post will be a part of the DCC Community Development Team led by UKOLN. (2007-04-02) Ariadne Issue 50 now available - Ariadne Issue no.50 was published on 30 January 2007. It includes (among others) an article by Melanie Bates, Sue Manuel and Charles Oppenheim on models of early adoption of ICT Innovations in Higher Education, a contribution from Jon E. Lervik, Mark Easterby-Smith, Kathryn Fahy and Carole Elliott on the challenges of integrating information across boundaries between knowledge communities, an article by Philip Beresford giving the story from the British Library's perspective of the development of new software to support all stages of harvesting Web sites for preservation and Alexander Ball and Manjula Patel provide an overview of the second annual conference of the Digital Curation Centre, while Marieke Guy and Paul Walk contribute on interesting wiki and JISC CETIS events.
