Single-Day Heli-Ski Trip—This is our classic trip. Whether you are new to Heli-skiing or a Heli-ski veteran, our single day trips always deliver. We will take you and a small group of like minded powder hounds in our Bell 407 Helicopter to some of the finest skiing Colorado has to offer. Included are six guided helicopter ski runs totaling approximately 10,000-12,000 vertical feet as well as powder skis, backcountry poles, avalanche beacon and food and water throughout the day. A safety orientation, helicopter briefing and avalanche protocol expectations are covered in a morning meeting and an apres’ ski is provided to complete your day. Multi-Day Heli-Ski Trips—For those powder skiers that just can’t get enough we offer 2 day – 5 day heli-ski trips. We will sign you up for several days and get you out when the weather allows. If it is dumping you get to rip it up on the Telluride Ski Mountain instead of hanging out in a lodge. With our wide variety of terrain we will keep things fresh and exciting every day. So go for it. Private Heli-Ski Cabin—This is not a log cabin in the woods. Get yourself and 3 friends together and we will put you with one of our best guides and off you go. Booking a private cabin ensures your group will ride and fly together. Custom Heli-Ski Tours—Exclusive, private trip. You put the group together, tell us what you are thinking and let us do the rest. We will search out the best snow and terrain available to meet your group’s expectations. We have been doing these tours since day 1 and have the knowledge to provide an unrivaled experience. Custom tours can accommodate up to 16 skiers divided into groups of 4 skiers. Custom tour pricing is based upon the actual flight hours (when the helicopter is actually in the air)—with a 2.0 hour minimum. Each group of 4 skiers can expect to get 6-8 runs per flight hour. We will provide great food during the day, the latest powder skis, safety equipment and heaps of bragging rights. Call early to secure your day. Custom Tour pricing is based on actual flight time (when the helicopter is actually in the air) . Rates for December/January are $6250/hr for the first 1.5 hours and $4250 there after with a 1.5 hour minimum. Fixed-Wing Charter Flights—Are you skiing/staying in Aspen, Vail or somewhere besides Telluride? Not a problem. Let us arrange a private plane/jet flight for you from the nearest airport. We will pick you up in the morning, fly you over to Telluride (talk about scenic flight), heli-ski for the day and we will get you back in time for happy hour. Fixed-wing charter flights arranged for heli-skiers have a minimum rate and are only scheduled for prefect weather days. This is a day to remember, Call for details.
Backcountry Ski Tours—Do you prefer to ski in the backcountry on your own terms? Nobody knows the San Juan mountains in the winter like the guides at Telluride Helitrax. Everyone of us is an active backcountry skier with an intimate knowledge of the surrounding mountains. Not for the faint of heart, our tours require at least 1 1/2 hours of uphill travel to reap the rewards, but they are well worth it. All trips include an avalanche orientation, beacon, transportation and lunch. We can also put together a spectacular helicopter assisted back-country tour for small groups on a limited basis. Scenic Helicopter Flights—Lift off from either the Peaks Resort or the Telluride Airport and enjoy one of the most scenic and exhilarating scenic flights available anywhere in the world. 15 minute flights are offered each afternoon (weather dependent).
