Blend tent is recommended for individuals who prefer lightweight hunting tents. Canvas tent roof and relite walls (synthetic material). Saves approximately 40% in weight from standard 10.1 oz hunting canvas tents. Blends lighter weight makes larger hunting tents much easier to transport, set up and take down.

Re enactor and rendezvous models also available. A Re enactor hunting tent is appropriate for individuals who need a Civil War tent. All canvas and no modern hardware on these tents.

Canvas Tent Camping. I have been hunting and packing in the Idaho Wilderness since 1979. Currently I hunt or take pack trips two to three months each year. Wall Tents and stoves

When buying a stove for a wall tent that has the stove jack in the side wall or end wall - You must purchase straight stove pipe with your stove.

Straight pipe is required for wall tents with stove pipe opening in the side or back wall because you will need two adjustable stove pipe angles. One at the stove and one outside.

Nesting pipe will not work with adjustable angles / elbows.

Snow Loads vs Canvas Wall Tents

No canvas tent will survive very heavy snow loads.

The primary reason is the number of rafters in a wall tent frame. Normally, most people have canvas tent rafters every 5 ' to 7' which will normally be sufficient when a person is at a wall tent site daily.

However, if you plan to leave canvas tents up for long periods of time during the winter you need to have rafters every 2' - just like the roof of a house.

The 2' spacing of rafters will not guarantee a wall tent will survive heavy snow loads but it does significantly increase the probability of the canvas tent frame not collapsing.

Canvas Tent Longevity

Canvas Tents normally last 15-30 years depending upon on how well it is taken care of.

The main reasons canvas tents are ruined.

Putting the canvas tent away wet. Regardless of the water & mildew treatment on tents will get mold if put away wet.

Holes in the canvas tent roof from stove sparks landing on the roof. Always use a fly to protect your roof.

UV detioration Canvas exposed to direct sunlight for lengthy periods will destroy canvas. Always use a fly.
