About Leadership 2.0

ASUG Leadership 2.0 is a new community dedicated to providing unparalleled opportunities for technologists and business leaders to come together to discuss what it means to be a leader in today's world. With a focus on knowledge sharing and skill building, Leadership 2.0 will address team building, team performance and inclusivity, strategic thinking and execution, and a host of related leadership topics designed to shape the leader in you.

ASUG Leadership 2.0 is open to anyone for whom shaping their leadership skills is a priority.

About the Team

The ASUG Leadership 2.0 team is comprised of accomplished individuals who have worked continually to advance the practices and principles of leadership in the SAP ecosystem.

Lisa Leslie

The team is led by inaugural Team Captain, Lisa Leslie. Leslie brings considerable leadership and team building expertise to her role. She was the first player to win all three Most Valuable Player awards – for the WNBA regular season, All-Star Game, and playoffs – in the same season.

She is the author of the book “Don’t Let the Lipstick Fool You: The Making of a Champion” and is an executive coach who advises executives and elite athletes on how to maximize their leadership skills. Leslie also is a former commentator for ESPN and a current analyst for ABC.

Rounding out the team are recognized leaders from the SAP ecosystem, including:

Greg Myers 

Greg Myers is an SAP Mentor, and has been working in the Business Intelligence field for longer than he cares to admit. He is also an active ASUG volunteer and believes in contributing back to the community that has taught him so much. Greg is a co-host of the Diversified Semantic Layer podcast, and also an active contributor in the SAP Community Network. Greg is a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force where he learned the foundations of teamwork, leadership, and followership.

Jamie Oswald

Jamie Oswald started working in business intelligence over 10 years ago and hasn't been able to break away since. Having been involved on the business and technical sides of an organization, Jamie focuses on delivering relevant and engaging information to users where they can make the most out of it.  Jamie has been part of the SAP ecosystem since the BusinessObjects acquisition, serving in various ASUG volunteer roles and being an SAP Mentor since 2011. Currently working for Arch Coal, Jamie is also an Active Contributor on the SAP Community Network and is a cohost of the Diversified Semantic Layer Podcast (available on iTunes!). In what time is left over after all of that, Jamie enjoys chasing his wife around and growing old with his four children.

Jarret Pazahanick

Jarret Pazahanick is an SAP Mentor and HCM Certified Consultant who has specialized in SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) since 1998. He is a subject matter expert in US Payroll and the Employee Interaction Center (EIC) and Managing Partner of EIC Experts. Over the past 13 years, Jarret has completed 18 high profile, full life cycle SAP HCM implementations for global Fortune 1000 companies. He is SAP HCM certified, ASAP certified, a HR Expert author, ASUG News author and active SCN contributor and moderator.

Tammy Powlas

Tammy Powlas has been an ASUG Volunteer since 2007 and an SAP Mentor since 2010. Tammy has spoken at the SAP TechEd, SAP Inside Trackevents, ASUG Webcasts, ASUG Annual Conference and at other ASUG events. Tammy served on the SAP TechEd Design team for the past 4 years. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Project Management Professional, and SAP-certified in 7.0 SAP NetWeaver BI, SEM, FI, CO, and ASAP. She has over 13 years of SAP experience. She is a Sr. Business Analyst at Fairfax Water. She was featured in the book "Five Steps to a Successful SAP Career".  Tammy was a 2011 Top Contributor to the SAP Community Network.  The SAP Mentor Initiative is a highly selective program which recognizes those individuals who are making an outstanding contribution to the SAP community. Tammy is one of 125 mentors who are playing an active role in SAP's online ecosystem, which includes the combined 2.4 million members.

Karin Tillotson

Karin Tillotson logged into her first SAP system in 1995 (version 3.0D).  In 1999, she started working with SAP Archiving.  In the fall of 2002, Karin presented at the ASUG Fall Forum and was asked to present again at the 2003 ASUG Annual conference.  She then became an ASUG Volunteer as Program Chair for the Archiving Special Interest Group.  Since then, she has given many SAP archiving related presentations at ASUG Conferences, SAP TechEd, SAP Insider and the Mastering SAP Technologies conference in Sydney, Australia.  Karin has also participated in ASUG Influence Councils.  The first influence council resulted in giving SAP business requirements for the SAP NetWeaver ILM Solution.  She is currently the customer lead for the ASUG SAP NetWeaver User Interface Influence Council.  Karin is also one of the original SAP Mentors (or SAP Net Promoters as it was first called) that started in 2006.  Karin is also very active in SCN as a blogger and forum moderator.

Mico Yuk

Mico Yuk is considered to be one of the top influencers in the SAP Business Analytics space. She is also the Founder of the popular weblog, Everything Xcelsius, the 'Xcelsius Gurus’ Network which she founded in 2008 and Benchmarkers Business Intelligence, a boutique consulting firm, specializing in SAP BusinessObjects and Business Intelligence.  She is also an SAP Mentor, Advisor to BusinessObjects Experts by WISpubs, and an ASUGNews.com Blogger.

Jennifer Buko

Jennifer is a passionate ASUG Volunteer who is a recipient of the 2011 ASUG Volunteer Services Award.  With more than 11 years of experience in the SAP ecosystem, she serves as an advocate for customers by working closely with SAP and ASUG to foster research and sharing of best practices.  She is currently the Director of Business Intelligence for the Financial Information Systems team at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing.
