EVERYTHING MUST GO

A few years ago I had a nostalgic episode and went to town buying old Nintendo gear. I was living in England at the time and a game shop near my work had a decent retro section. Quite a few cartridges came from there thanks to their two for one deals but most of the hardware and weird accessories came from eBay.

Fast forward to now and all of it sits packed away in boxes for 360 days of the year. I've been saying that I should sell it for a year now, but finally it's actually on eBay. If you're curious search for 'Nintendo Collection' and see how it goes. Auction ends this Sunday night.

ACCEPTABLE IN THE EIGHTIES

Mike Tyson was one of those polarising characters from the 1980s. Everything about him was larger than life and destined to implode. These photos come from his now abandoned mansion in Ohio. Tyson lived in the house during his popular years, the height of which saw his personal net worth hit $300 million. After serving three years in jail his image was marred further thanks to the infamous Evander Holyfield ear-biting scandal. Tyson sold his house for $1.3m to known con-artist and infomercial huckster, Paul Monea, who had the house seized from him by the Federal Reserve shortly afterward.
