REFORMA JCLC Scholarship

REFORMA is granting five (5) $500 scholarships for REFORMA members to attend the 2nd National Joint Conference of Librarians of Color (JCLC) Conference scheduled for September 19 – 23, 2012 in Kansas City, Missouri. The purpose of this scholarship is to help defray the cost for REFORMA members to attend JCLC. This includes, but is not limited to; cover registration fees, transportation, lodging, and meals.

The selection committee will evaluate the application process based on how they answer the following two parts. 1) Applicant must complete the contact information portion listed below, and 2) on the following page the applicant must write a brief and concise statement explaining their financial hardship or reasons for this scholarship and how this scholarship will benefit your professional development.

Scholarship recipients will be expected to attend the entire conference, attend workshops, author events, exhibits, network with colleagues from throughout the country, and have fun.

The deadline to submit scholarship application is 05/07/2012.

Scholarship recipients will be announced on 05/17/2012.
