spacer Brian Selznick

In this interview, Selznick explains how the book evolved from his initial concept of a traditional novel and discusses some of the difficulties he encountered during the writing process. He also talks about his love of old French cinema, some of his favorite books as a child, and what he hopes readers will take away from HUGO CABRET.

spacer --> spacer If youve been to the movies in the last few months or so, you probably have seen the singing frogs of Meet the Robinsons crooning soulfully about movie etiquette to the tune of I Heard It Through the Grapevine (a classic song your parents probably loved) before the previews roll. And, needless to say, seeing Frankie the Frog and his swinging band every time we go to the movies has gotten us totally psyched for the film. Now its here!
