“This is where I store my throwing stars”

Ok, so that last post is now out of sight, out of mind until next week. But it’s coming, I promise. I just need a little more time.

New Office tonight, woo hoo! Dwight pulling the pepper spray from his ’secret’ location and blasting Roy in the face was perfection. I’ve got the same can of pepper spray in my purse, and I’ve often wondered what it would look like if I were to set it off. I wasn’t expecting the white-ish color. (It’s the real deal, from a Police supplier. The heavy duty shit. You don’t wanna f*ck with me.) The whole episode was great, Angela is so wonderful, and I loved Karen’s line about “which Jim hated more.” I’m going to go with the long talk about their feelings, it was probably half as painful as the residual pepper spray vapors that he inhaled.

Jackie and I are heading to the ‘burbs tomorrow after work. My plan is to clean the inside of my car (shop-vac the floors! Windex the windows!) and we’ll also be making egg-shaped Jell-o jigglers. The idea of making an ‘adult’ version has been tossed around, but I think it’s just asking for trouble. Mom and Dad are heading out to grandma’s on Friday to chat and help her get the place ready for the party on Saturday. Lauren and Noah will make their grand return to Chicagoland after their reunion and subsiquent stint in Champaign. We will once again have a full house, and I for one am very glad. Saturday night will be quite nice, if only the weather would get straight. I’ve got a cute spring dress that I was very much looking forward to wearing, and now I’ll be in cords and a sweater. IT SHOULD NOT BE 30 DEGREES AND SNOWING ON EASTER! IT IS JUST WRONG! Ok, whew, I feel a little better. (But I’d feel a whole lot better if I could wear my new dress and cute sandals outside.)

I’ve been slacking in the craft department as of late. I made four dishrags for lauren (random patterns I made up using size 7 needles and lion brand cotton yarn) and last night I worked on a chipboard wall-art piece. My creativity has just been zapped, and it felt so good last night to roll up my sleeves and play in the paper and glue. I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it for myself, or give it as a gift. Initially I had someone in mind to give it to, but it’s also kind of a random thing, so I’ve been decorating it as though I were keeping it. We shall see.

I wrote a long post Tuesday night, but it’s not going to be published until later this week. You can listen to this for now, which pretty much sums up how I’m feeling at this moment.
