Fantasy Series Ending in 2012

According to Amazon, these are the books being published in 2012 that will conclude a series. I thought it might be nice to have a master list of all the series that are ending this year. Details for the 2nd half of 2012 are pretty sketchy, so most of the books below are for the first half of 2012. Also, if you think I have incorrectly listed a series as being complete this year (or I am missing a series conclusion), let me know and I'll update this post. Sometimes its hard to figure out if a series is truly ending/ended. I'll try to update this page a couple of times a month to keep it up to date.

January 2012
-Heir of Novron (Riyria Revelations) by Michael J. Sullivan (hoping this book hits stores a couple of weeks early like the first 2 books did. Though I'll still have to wait until the street date for the ebook, darnit)
-Expedition to the Mountains of the Moon (Burton & Swinburne) by Mark Hodder (the book says this one completes a 3 book story arc..which makes it sounds like we might see further books in the overall series)
-A Path to Coldness of Heart (Dread Empire 3) by Glen Cook
-The Daemon Prism: A Novel of the Collegia Magica by Carol Berg

February 2012
-The Order of the Scales: The Memory of Flames, Book III by Stephen Deas (I know there is a 4th book coming, but I'm think this book concludes a trilogy, and the next book starts a new series, starting soon after this trilogy. Anyone confirm this?)
-The Dread (The Fallen Kings Cycle) by Gail Z. Martin
-Kings of Morning (Macht Trilogy) by Paul Kearney (another one of my most highly anticipated books of 2012..if it ever comes out. I believe the date has been pushed back twice so far)

March 2012
-Shadow's Master by Jon Sprunk (I think this concludes a trilogy. the author has mentioned starting work on a new series, though I am unsure if its a totally new series, or a continuation of the this one.)
-The Kingdoms of Dust (The Necromancer Chronicles) by Amanda Downum (not 100% sure about this one being a series conclusion)
-Timeless by Gail Carriger (added thanks to a tip from Greyweather)
-The Master of Heathcrest Hall by Galen Beckett (unsure of the name of this series)

April 2012
-Shadow Blizzard by Alexey Pehov
-Orcs: Inferno by Stan Nicholls (concludes the Orcs: Bad Blood trilogy)
-The Eye of the Chained God: The Abyssal Plague Trilogy, Book III by Don Bassingthwaite

May 2012
-Night of the Swarm by Robert V.S. Redick (concludes the Chathrand Voyage)

June 2012
-The Shadowed Sun (Dreamblood) by N.K. Jemison (the first book in the duology is published in May)

July 2012
-The Crown of the Usurper by Gav Thorpe (this is the 3rd book in the Crown of the Blood..I think this is a trilogy, thus the listing here for now)
-Blood of Dragons: Volume Four of the Rain Wilds Chronicles by Robin Hobb (not 100% sure this concludes the series, but I think it does. Book 3 is due in February)
-Blood of the Emperor: The Annals of Drakis: Book Three by Tracy Hickman

August 2012
-Sanctuary: The Outcast Chronicles by Rowenna Cory Daniels (I believe all 3 books in the series are being published in consecutive months just like her first trilogy.)
-The Shattered Vine: Book Three of The Vineart War by Lauran Anne Gilman
-Dusk Watchman by Tom Lloyd (Book 5 of the Twilight Reign. One of my most anticipated books of the year. I plan to re-read the entire series to get read for this one)
-Black Bottle by Anthony Huso (including this one as I thought I read this series was a duology)
-The Traitor Queen (The Traitor Spy Trilogy) by Trudi Canavan
-Charon's Claw: Neverwinter Saga, Book III by R.A. Salvatore
-The Fate of the Dwarves by Marcus Heinz

September 2012

October 2012
-The Crimson Crown (A Seven Realms Novel) by Cinda Williams Chima
-Redoubt: Book Four of the Collegium Chronicles by Mercedes Lackey (4th book, but not sure if it is final. According to the author's website: "Redoubt is the fourth book in the Collegium Chronicles trilogy.")

November 2012
-Bard's Oath (Dragonlord) by Joanne Bertin (not sure if this book is the final in the series, but it has been 12 years since book 2 was published, so I'll list it here for now..until I get more info that there is a book 4 planned)
-Crossed Blades (A Fallen Blade Novel) by Kelly McCullough (I can't find a reference to 4th book, so will list this here for now. Note that the 2nd book in the series is out in June 2012)
-Spirit's End (An Eli Monpress Novel) by Rachel Aaron (according to the author's website, this is the 5th and final book. Book 4 is due June 5, 2012)

December 2012
-Crossed Blades (A Fallen Blade Novel) by Kelly McCollough (this is the 3rd in the series and not sure if it is the last. Will list it here until I get confirmation there is more. 2nd book comes out in June 2012)

As for Order of the Scales hard to say; some stuff is quite emphatically ended, but some other stuff is actually more of a beginning

Let’s not forget Mark Newton Legends of the Red Sun (book 4 is in July and the title has been leaked before its official announcement that is supposed to come end of January); do not have that book yet but it’s a huge asap

Cold Steel ends Kate Elliott’s trilogy too (September)
Master of Heathcrest Hall ends Galen Beckett (aka Mark Anthony) trilogy in March (another huge asap)
Felix Gilman’s duology also ends in Ris of ransom City (at least I believe so)
Grail of the Summer Stars by Freda Warrington may or may not end the author’s superb series (it’s book 3 too)
Paula Volsky, I mean Paula Brandon has book 2 in February after book 1 in October so her trilogy may also end late in the year but not sure there
Paul Kearney also may finally end his Sea Beggars series in the fall

Thanks for the extra info, Liviu. It’s always appreciated. I usually don’t do much with the blog over the weekend, but I’ll get your info added to the page early next week.
