About Us

Gulf Records is a Manchester-based record label that releases underground electronic music. Founded in 2010 by Daniel Fogg and Rob Gregg, Gulf Records seeks to release music from exciting artists who struggle to be defined by genre.

“Our sound is the Gulf sound. The gulf represents the space which separates our artists from most others in the music industry and the ever-present genre-based dance music in the UK. Our influences are broad and our sound seeks depth. We are in this for the love of weird music and the pleasure we hope to bring to people who have never been moved by such music before.”

The first release on Gulf Records (GR001) features tracks from Borland and From The Kites of St. Quentin, and includes remixes of the respective groups work. GR001 is due for digital and limited vinyl release on Monday 4th April 2011, and can be purchased direct from gulf-records.com or any major online or high-street record store.
