Heather Robinson joined the 5.14 club yesterday with an ascent of Mon Pote Assis at Mt. Potosi, Nevada near Las Vegas. Mon Pote Assis (5.14a) is a relatively short power-endurance route involving sustained climbing and a nasty mono pull. Last year, Heather sent her first 5.13d with Power Windows, also at Mt. Potosi. She noted on her 8a scorecard that Power Windows was "definitely not a girl route" and it doesn't look like this one was either. Mon Pote Assis was Heather's first of the grade and the first female ascent of the route.
