inks are a renewable resource and emit less amounts of volatile hydrocarbons during the printing process. The ink we use
contains organically grown nut oils in place of petroleum oil.
Custom ink colors are available for an additional $40. Please supply us with a swatch or Pantone color and we will match the ink

I am thrilled to announce that after almost two years of hard work, The Vandercook 100 is available for pre-order.
I want to first and foremost thank all of you for your support, participation and patience with this project. Self-publishing
has been both a challenge and a tremendous learning experience for our small studio. To say the least, the process evoked many emotions ranging from the initial excitement and anticipation to the final sense of accomplishment and elation.
It took longer than I expected and I am sorry that you have had to wait so long to see the fruits of our collective effort.
I am so grateful for my team of friends and family who generously gave their time, talents, and enthusiasm for this project.
I especially want to take a moment to thank the 100 participants who graciously shared their stories. Without you,
this book quite simply wouldn't have happened. I am grateful to have had the honor of getting to work closely with those
I have admired for years. I find myself inspired by so many fellow printmakers who share my passion and I hope this book
will become a well-known resource for those interested in letterpress printing and for those who own a printing press.
Please check out The Vandercook 100 new landing page where you can find sneak peeks inside the book, links to the
100 participants' websites, and the book's video trailer. The book will benefit students, teachers, practitioners, and designers who are looking for a comprehensive directory of letterpress printers. It will also offer insight into their methodologies
and offer a glimpse into their work environments. Here's what you will find inside:
• 224 pages of insight into the letterpress printing industry
• stories from over 100 artisans, teachers, practitioners, and designers
• over 500 photographs that share a glimpse inside studios, institutions and book art centers throughout the world
