The Super Club Lineup

We hardly need to introduce this one! The finest nightclub in Yorkshire and one of the defining clubs to go to for the dance generation. This year sees them celebrating 21 years at the helm. We invite the stalwarts behind the music for this phenomenal night. Please welcome the head honcho himself, Dave Beer alongside legendary residents Buckley and Chris Duckenfield. This will be a trip down nostalgia with a nod to the present. Not to be missed. DJ biogs below.

For those that don’t know Dave, he owns Back to Basics. Having tour managed with the likes of Sisters of Mercy and That Petrol Emotion. However, his musical direction changed in 1988 when he caught the acid house bug. And when parties were brought back inside after the 1991 criminal justice bill, the nightclub was born. As a DJ himself from Glastonbury to Ibiza, Dave has produced and remixed for the likes of David Bowie and Chrissy Hind. With Back to Basics still going strong, there’s no letting up on his colourful schedule.

Back in the early 90’s Buckley was resident for some of the most seminal nights in musical history, including The Hacienda and Renaissance. He’s also played alongside live acts Inner City, Ten City and was tour DJ to M People. He’s a key player in the scene and an admired remixer and producer too. Bow down to the original resident of the longest running weekly house night in the world.

Chris is responsible for some of the best house music ever to be made. He’s owned two record labels and was WARP records tour DJ for many years as well as acid house acts like Autechre and LFO. From pirate DJ to record store runner what we have here is one of Yorkshires finest and most respected DJs with a record collection that simply defines the history of dance music. Welcome on board.

Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe make up the boogie boat that is PBR Streetgang. Their music threads the disco sounds of Paradise Garage with deep and groovy underground house clubs. They mix  effortlessly from Ableton live to turn tables and back again. Having honed their craft over the years at Leeds’ Asylum parties they are now residents at WeLove at Space, Ibiza. We fly them back to Yorkshire for the weekend to kick off the Chic after show party. A perfect match to the night.

Their musical home is Back2Basics, so you know they are synonymous with continuous quality. Both have the ability to read the crowd and build a groove which goes from deep house to nu disco. Their opening set last year confirmed their automatic qualification for a return to the super club. Welcome back guys.
