In this manic age of information/cultural overload, sometimes it feels good to get back to the things that really matter. For me that increasingly means finding music that moves me, emotionally or spiritually. Music that reaches me in that way is much more likely to continue to resonate, months and years into the future.
Maybe it’s just a case of ‘deep calling to deep’-but the way the music is created and the aspirations of the musicians involved must influence how it affects the listener.
Gifted & Blessed is a prime example of the ends justifying the means; incredible dedication and purity of creative vision leading to some wonderfully deep, inspiring music.
