I am a Mobile HCI researcher and Ph.D. student working with Dr. Thad Starner at Georgia Tech. I am exploring the implementation and evaluation of highly-synchronous applications for groups of mobile, collocated users. The proliferation of powerful mobile phones have made them a first-class, and in some cases only, computing device for many people. Its constant availability makes it an ideal, yet underutilized, platform for creating groupware applications to enhance face-to-face interaction amongst a collocated group of users. My goal is to discover the design challenges involved when creating groupware for the mobile collocated context.
I am currently working as a UX Researcher at Google.
