    The Bird Identification InfoCenter is a fantastic resource on its own. The other information found at this site is incredible! Find Breeding Bird Survey Results as well as Migratory Bird data. This U.S. Department of the Interior site almost makes you feel good about paying your Federal taxes!
  2. FatBirder
    Lots of sites are trying to become the "Ultimate" birding web site. In Europe the clear leader is FatBirder. The country links are extremely good — thanks to a stable of birders that contribute local knowledge.
  3. Cornell Lab of Ornithology
    The Cornell Lab is home to the largest collection of bird songs in the world. See results of "Citizen Science" programs like Project Feederwatch, the Great Backyard Bird Count, the House Finch Disease Survey and Project Pigeonwatch. More advanced birders help with studies like the Golden-winged Warbler Atlas Project.

    The national organization for U.S. and Canadian birders. There are links to many interesting areas in which the ABA is involved. This is a great site with a new look that is much easier to navigate!
  9. Dutch Birding
    This active national organization also publishes a magazine for their members. The web site does a very good job of describing the organization and its publications — as well as helping you to find birds in the Netherlands.

    View and post videos of wild and domestic birds. An online community of bird watching enthusiasts with a focus on filming bird behavior.
  11. Minnesota Ornithologists' Union
    This is the best state ornithological web site. Things are easy to find. The links work. Hot Spots are shown on a "clickable" state map. Checklists are up to date. Go spend 30 minutes here — then click on your state or province web site. See the difference?

    This is certainly one of the top state birding web sites. Texas has a lot to offer and this site can help you plan your next trip to the "Valley" or the "Upper Coast" or "Big Bend" or the "Hill Country" or .....

    This web site is aimed squarely at the beginning and backyard birder. The focus is on answering the questions we all had when we first noticed the birds at our feeder. New discussion forums are very interesting.
  23. Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory
    A wonderful site by two of the top hummingbird banders in the country.

    This is a great place to keep track of the birds you have seen and also help scientists at Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society monitor bird population trends.
