A Pesterzsébeti Múzeum szeretettel meghívja Önt és barátait Gaál Imre galériájába Orosz István grafikusmûvész Útvesztõk térben és idõben címû kiállítására.

A kiállítás megtekinthetõ 2009. március 4-tõl április 25-ig, hétfõ és vasárnap kivételével naponta 10-18 óráig.

Az idõ látképei címmel válogatást mutatnak be Orosz István animációs filmjeibõl: 2009. április 15-én, szerdán, 17 órakor.

ISTVÁN OROSZ EXHIBITION
IN THE BRIDGES CONFERENCE


BRIDGES, an annual conference founded in 1998
and serving since then as an international platform
for artists, scientists and scholars
working on the interface of science, art and technology
will be held this year in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands
from 24 - 29 July 2008.
Some monumental and historical churches
built during the Middle Ages and located in beautiful
landscapes surrounding the city of Leeuwarden
are the exhibit place of several modern artists
from the Netherlands and other European countries.

New book about Istvn Orosz

The book was published by Hesign Publishing House (Berlin/Shanghai) as a part of the series Vision of Design.
There are more than 200 pictures in the book on 160 pages.

Vision of Design is a series of books featuring an extensive range of international graphic designers. Curated to bring some of the most powerful statements in graphic design to the masses, the series boldy tackles desingers whose works are shpaed by their context. Each book focuses on an outstanding designer, selected for their stunning art direction. The artist realeased this year include Reza Abedini (Iran), Lech Majewski (Poland), Michel Bouvet (France),Studio Boot (Netherlands) and Istvan Orosz (Hungary). Provocative and distinctive, the Vision of Design series showcases
the works of distinguished designers, who are making international impact with their brilliant work.

The Ernst Museum in Budapest announces the exhibition

FELHÕK POLONIUSNAK / CLOUDS TO POLONIUS

The exhibition presents the oeuvre of the internationally acclaimed Hungarian artist ISTVÀN OROSZ. It is a rare occasion when his works are gathered to one place from public and private collections and are available for the general public.

Exhibition dates: 17th August - 17th September
Opening times: every day except Monday from 11 am to 7 pm

EVENING AND SPECIAL EVENTS DURING THE EXHIBITION:

Wednesday, 16th August 7 pm:
Magdolna Hargittai, member of the Hungarian Academy reviews the exhibition to the partecipants of the International Symmetry Festival. (The lecture will be given in English)

Wednesday, 30th August 6 pm.
György Szemadám, painter talks about the animation films by István Orosz followed by the screening of these films. The films shown include:
Ah, Amerika (1984); Vigyázat, lépcsö! / Mind the steps! (1989); A kert / The garden (1993); Sírj! / Cry!(1995), Fekete lyuk - fehér lyuk / Black hole - White hole(2001), Az idö látképei / Vistas of time (2004).

Partecipants of the evening talk in the museum: István Orosz and György Mészáros artists, Zsófia Ruttkay and Dénes Nagy matematicians
