Welcome to the new SW5.info site
Not all pages are available yet (sorry) but it will soon contain updated versions of the widely renowned information on UK sex work law, plus the equally valuable warnings against the plague of scam sites which prey on people considering working as an escort.
Other content from the old site remains at its old addresses, but may be of historical interest only – most of the services provided by the Streetwise Youth charity who used the SW5 name largely ceased sometime after their merger with THT.
Where to go?
If you are, or are considering becoming, an escort, much essential reading can be found at SAAFE ('Support And Advice For Escorts') including their own message board. (If you're male and/or expecting to be a 'non-sexual' escort, have a read of our pages on scams and remember that, no matter what reason they give, any 'agency' that wants money from you before you have cash in your hand from a client is a scam.)
If you are, or are considering becoming, a "punter", i.e. a client of a sex worker, see here for the updated legal info. A variety of "punting" sites also exist, but you should be aware that many of them are appallingly homo- and transphobic. One exception is the excellent TLC Trust site specialising in the needs of people with disabilities.
Any questions, please use our message board when it is back up.
