Busy Evening for Solomons Volunteers
MAY 18
- At approximate 1800hrs began Solomons busy evening with 5 back to back EMS calls. The evening began with a flyout at the main station from a walk-in, continued with an unconscious patient and did not stop there. Alarm Sounding
MAY 15
- Around 2156 hrs units from Solomons and Bay District were alerted for a water flow alarm at 101 Square Rigger Way in Solomons Landing. Engine 34 arrived first on scene laying out supply line as a standard operating procedure. Units from both Solomons and Bay District began investigating the alarm finding no water flowing. - At approximately 15:25 hrs units from Solomons and neighboring departments were alerted to and accident at Rt.4 and Patuxent Point Parkway. Units from Solomons arrived to find a 3 vehicle accident with one patient entrapped in the middle of the intersection. Crews went to work freeing the entrapped patients and tending to the others. - At around 1030hrs Solomons Volunteers responded to a patient who had a serious fall. Due to the patient's injuries EMTs consulted with the local trauma center in order to have the patient flown to the specialized facility.
