FISHING REPORT
LOC LEADERBOARD
Wilson Invitational
ood Morning, it is a great day for fishing on Lake Ontario. A little overcast for the final day of the LOC and those fish are biting. Tim & Harry Condes hit it big yesterday in the Wilson Invitational with a $25,000 Grand Prize Congratulations to their team and all the other teams that won. The tournament was a huge success with almost every single team bringing in their 6 fish for the weigh in. Several teams lost and threw back a lot more fish than were even entered. Yankee Pride had the big fish for the tournament. It was a great day for most out there and Dave Chilson did the videos for them. Overall, a really excellent time and the full results will be on their website shortly. Good Time Charlie was leading the Olcott Fishing Derby in the Salmon Division with a 26.4 and Yankee Pride is now leading with a 27.09. Wyatt Goehring is leading the trout division with a 12.01 steelhead. Week 1 ends today. While everyone was west, apparently east fishing was quite awesome in itself, over near the microwave and Somerset Power Plant in 60-80 fow was pretty awesome for the rec guys fishing there. There was a nice mix of browns, steelhead and kings. The kings were all between 14 and 21 pounds. Oranges and greens were working well there. There were several boats out in deeper water off the plant and I am not sure how deep or what they were using but apparently everything everyone was using was working great yesterday. The LOC still has 12 open spots for the steelhead division and its not too late to get out there and catch some to make that leaderboard. Several people fishing 18 mile and the piers yesterday catching a few perch, some northerns and panfish. Fishing seems to be right on at the moment with awesome spots from the bar to the plant.
