About Me

I'm passionate about software development. It's not only my job, it's one of my hobbies. I like to play around with technology and i love learning new things. I mostly do .NET development during the day, but the coding i do in my spare time is somewhat split between JavaScript, .NET, and Ruby, depending on what i'm working on or experimenting with. I keep my eyes, ears and mind open so i can learn from other developers and more importantly, from other development communities. I want to know both what works and what doesn't work for other people so i can learn from that. In turn, i share my experience with anyone who wants to read it on this site.

I have a lot of respect for, and belief in Open Source Software. And when i can, i give back as well. In December 2008, i joined the NHibernate development team where i tried to make myself useful for a project that has given and taught me a lot. I haven't contributed anything to NHibernate since August 2009 though, due to shifting interests. In November 2009, i started the open source Agatha project, an implementation of the Request/Response Service Layer for .NET which takes away many of the problems of typical/classic WCF usage.

In January 2011, i started my own company called That Extra Mile which focuses mostly on contracting/consulting/training.
