2012 USGBC-Business Courier Green Business Awards Winners Announced
Congratulations to all of the winners at the March 20th Green Business Awards Ceremony! The winners were: City of Sharonville, Gus Perdikakis Associates, Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance, Sunny Delight Beverages Co., TriHealth, Formica Corp., Christ Hospital, Flottman Co., and the People's Choice Award went to All About Kids Childcare and Learning Center
Greener Stock Announces Their 2012 Education & Networking Series

Chapter Highlights and Accomplishments:
- The Cincinnati area is home to more LEED projects than any city in Ohio
- The Cincinnati area is home to more LEED AP's per capita than Chicago, and has the fourth largest number of LEED AP's in the Midwest
- Cincinnati has more LEED registered schools than any other city in the state; Ohio has more LEED registered schools that California, Oregon, Washington, New Mexico, and Florida combined. Twenty percent of all LEED schools projects are in Ohio
- The Cincinnati Regional Chapter is the largest in Ohio and surrounding states
- It has spread green building education to more than half a million people through media and direct contact
- Chapter leaders have advocated for green building policy with the Governor's and Cincinnati Mayor's offices
- The chapter has forged an award-winning partnership with Cincinnati State to provide a sustainable building curriculum for professionals
- The chapter's advisory efforts have assisted the cities of Cincinnati and Wilmington and the State of Ohio in crafting successful green building incentives
- Chapter leaders have spoken before numerous professional groups, both locally and around the country, about LEED and sustainable building
- The chapter has hosted design competitions, LEED workshops, tours, round-tables, socials, and other networking events
- Through the efforts of the Board and volunteers, Cincinnati was the host of Greening the Heartland 2011, the Midwest Greenbuild conference of the USGBC
