2) “Graduated and Clueless”- author Jeff Sanders

3) Heart Topic: What Dog Are You Feeding?

Segment 1 Famous Quotes

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.  So throw off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the trade winds in your sails.  Explore. Dream. Discover.”  ~ Mark Twain

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started.  The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.”   ~ Mark Twain

Segment 2 Graduated and Clueless

Today we welcome Jeff Sanders into THiNKing Rocks Studio. Jeff is a college graduate, has successfully finished several marathons, become a vegetarian after watching “Food, Inc”, become an all out vegan after watching “Earthlings”, is motivated by authors like: Brian Tracy (“Eat That Frog”), John Maxwell, Dr. Graham and Dr. Campbell.  And Jeff is the author of “Graduated and Clueless”.  You can find more information about Jeff and his book at www.GraduatedandClueless.com.

Jeff shares: “Success always starts with your thoughts and your thoughts are more habitual than you might realize. If you go to the same job or class 5 days a week, hang out with the same friends every weekend, and participate in the same activities every season, you may be unconsciously putting yourself into a thought rut. The only way to get out of a thought rut is to create new thoughts. In other words, expose yourself to new information as often as possible. Read new and challenging books. Watch mind-bending documentaries. Create new habits that require you to expand your limits and think outside of the box. Consider new career paths, new hobbies, and new lifestyle choices that force you into new situations as often as possible. Success is all about growth and growth begins with thinking.”

At the end of this episode Jeff mentioned a self improvement program he is currently working on.  That program is from Jim Rohn International and it is called ONE YEAR SUCCESS PLAN.  Click here to visit a website paying tribute to Jim Rohn.

Segment 3 Heart Topic: What Dog Are You Feeding?

At different times we can all feel clueless about a particular thing or situation.  It’s important to remember that feeling clueless is temporary if, and only if, we take action to understand and grow from it.

Is the definition of “clueless”: having no knowledge, understanding or ABILITY.

Ability?  Perhaps this is the greatest part of feeling clueless.  Not being able to or feeling like we are unable.  However, we are capable of doing whatever it is we want to do if we take the first step and don’t quit.  Napoleon Hill said, “Most great people have attained their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure.”

Whether or not we ever fully understand, we must continue taking one step forward.  The feeling of cluelessness can only survive if we feed it.  I heard this the other day….“Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog all the time. When asked which dog wins, he said….’whichever dog I feed’.” ~ George Bernard Shaw

Our question this week is: What dog are you feeding?

Until next week, Peace!
