Who's Ladybug?

I'm just someone who is passionate about life, fascinated by people, and obsessed with finding ways to improve myself. I'm a true Gemini - quiet and shy one minute, and the life of the party the next. Mother Nature fuels my creativity, and I've found that the more time I spend outside, the happier I am.

I am so grateful to my husband, Phil Ruokis for creating this site for me, and for always teaching me. Not only would I not be doing photography if it weren't for his encouragement and direction, but I simply wouldn't be having this much fun. It's nice to share so many passions with someone, and I know how truly lucky I am.

I am blown away by the great photobloggers out there, and count many people as close friends. Thank you to all of you who continually inspire me.

Why Do I Photoblog?

I get a lot of pleasure from sharing my inspirations and perspectives with others. I am learning so much about myself through this medium of expression. I also really enjoy receiving feedback on my photos and getting to know other photographers.

Featured Elsewhere

I've been a regular participant in the Macroday challenges and have had many of my photos featured there (which I feel is an honor!). I've also submitted several photos and been featured on The Tuesday Challenge, and occasionally submit to Moody Monday, "Photo Theme for Thursday", and PhotoFriday. I've been on Flickr since December of 2004, where my photos have received well over 125,000 views.
