Share Your “Survivor” Story
Have you ever considered how different the world would be if you never existed? What would your life look like if your brother, sister or best friend were never born?
From spending time with friends and family to giving an encouraging smile to an elderly woman at the grocery store, the encounters we have with the people around us have an impact. It’s impossible to fully appreciate the significance each of us has. The Almost Aborted Project is a broad based, collaborative effort focused on capturing the faces and stories of individuals who were nearly terminated by their parents while in the womb. We passionately believe that human life is valuable and that each of us has been created by God with a purpose.
Almost Aborted reaches out to those were nearly terminated to share their story with the rest of the world. We believe these survivor stories offer encouragement and hope. The process starts with a project team member interviewing a prospective survivor over the telephone or by email. The next step includes scheduling a face-to-face interview and portrait session. Currently, interviews and portrait sessions are limited to the Seattle-Metro and Kansas City areas; however we are actively connecting with any survivor or parent of a survivor who is interested in telling their story.
There is no cost to participate in the Almost Aborted Project and it’s a wonderful way to make a positive impact! Simply send us your name and the best way to contact you and we will get back to you shortly.
Survivors who are unable to participate in a portrait session are still encouraged to tell us their stories so that we can share them here. This is a great place to present your experiences and encourage others.
