CTA’s Refrigeration Group has been awarded Target Corporation’s Partner of the Year award for the refrigeration services they provided in 2011. CTA, who first began doing business with Target in 2010, was asked to help Target with their major growth plan of inserting grocery into the majority of their existing department stores.  Since then, the service opportunities, along with the value placed on those services has grown, and is best described by Target:

“Through their engagement, accountability and collaboration, CTA has provided exceptional support to several initiatives critical to Target’s success.  Using their industry experience, they have provided leadership to complete the refrigeration design and documentation for all the very unique City Targets and Super Target remodels.  They have also utilized their analytical skills to quickly assist Target in determining the viability of utilizing doors on the medium temperature cases in Canada.  For all of their tasks, CTA has been quick to respond, proactive and has created ideas that have generated value for Target, these qualities make CTA a true partner of excellence.”

The pool of nominees did not only include the other refrigeration design consultants, but also every other refrigeration vendor including system manufacturers, refrigerated case manufacturers, contractors, and on-site refrigeration representatives.

CTA @ Success in The New West Conference

spacer

Kalispel CTA architects Corey Johnson and Fran Quiram recently attended the Success in the New West Conference at Flathead Community College.  Kathy Garber, the guest speaker of this small business conference focused our attention on marketing and business growth.  Her definition of marketing was, “the communication of a compelling message to move people to exchange their hard earned money for what is being offered.”

We asked ourselves, what is our compelling message at CTA? I think the message we portray is that we are creative and collaborative beings that shine when given a challenge.

spacer

BAM! POW! ZAP!

In support of the Montana Credit Union Network, CTA recently participated in the 75th annual convention and exposition in Billings, Montana. This year’s theme was “Superheroes for those in Need”. Brad Sperry aka Renovation Man, Shannon Peterson aka Credit Union Girl, and Toni Schneider aka Energy Savings Woman, attended the event as CTA Superheroes representing our message of renovation, solutions based design, and energy savings.

From CTA office headquarters, Suri Lunde aka Graphic Designer Against the Dark Forces, designed a creative and powerful campaign to promote CTA featuring our superheroes battling their arch nemesis.

Will Renovation Man give the Mold Nasbestos Monster a facelift? Can Credit Union Girl demolish Argley Bilding? How will Energy Savings Woman unplug the Power Hog?

CTA's HCCU Team From L-R: Jay Listoe, Alex Russell, Nick Bowers, Shannon Peterson, Zoe Smith

The ground breaking ceremony for the Helena Community Credit Union New Sanders Street Branch in Helena, Montana, was Friday, May 4th.  In 2008, the Credit Union Board of Directors initiated a study to explore the opportunity to establish a more meaningful presence in the North End of Helena.  HCCU purchased 1.2 acres at 3150 North Sanders Street along Custer Avenue during 2009 and declined an offer to sell the property for substantial profit the following year.  CTA’s Billings, Helena, and Livingston offices collaborated on the design of the new 7,200 square foot retail branch facility which evolves the branding of HCCU’s current facilities with a focus on daylighting and energy efficiency.  Dick Anderson Construction will begin construction on the branch in mid-May. Design Options for a Pedestrian Bridge at Milltown State Park

spacer

CTA Architects Engineers has worked with Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks to design conceptual options for the proposed pedestrian bridge to be located near the confluence of the Blackfoot and Clark Fork rivers in the new Milltown State Park. This site is rich in human and natural history and marks the location of the now removed Milltown Dam as well as the Bonner Lumber Mill which at one time was the largest mill in the United States and which provided a majority of the timbers for mining operations in Butte. The conceptual design, funded through the Montana Natural Resource Damage Program, is the first step in an upcoming community fundraising campaign to construct the pedestrian bridge over the Clark Fork River. The bridge will connect over 25 miles of pedestrian trails and will serve as a gateway to the park and the community. FWP and CTA are interested in gaining public input as to the various bridge options proposed. Please email your ideas, questions and opinions to  jeffcr@ctagroup.com

The Missoulian newspaper has also published recent developments on this project.  You can read about it HERE.
