I am a huge fan of this station.

I recently released a jazz/rock/fusion record that pays tribute to the great 70′s fusion music.

We are currently promoting to all radio, including terrestrial, internet & satellite radio.

I think you will find this music fits your station to a “T”.

You can hear the record streaming here:

    www.tunecore.com/music/joeguidowelsh

I would love to send you a copy. Please let me know how and where to send.

    Thanks for your time!

hi, I’m Alessandro and I’m a member of the Italian progressive rock group “Side C”.

we are from Verona (Italy), we are between 19 and 24 years old and we play progressive rock music, inspiring our original compositions from the masterpieces of groups like Genesis, Yes, ELP, Area, etc, looking for our own originality at the same time.

you can listen to the tracks of our last demo (registered live during an exibition at Blocco Music Hall, Verona) and see some videos (recorded during the same concert) on our facebook profile page, waiting for the new and more professional website we’re workin’ on:
    www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=hpskip#!/pages/Side-C/90453023403

we also have a myspace profile where you can listen songs from our firts EP (“Stati D’Alienazione):

    www.myspace.com/sidecaltrolato/music/songs?filter=featured

the purpose of this email is to find a channel able to promote our music and to change what today is only a (big) passion into something closer to the professional or semi-professional world of music.
that’s why we’d be honored to be quoted on your websites or if you’ll decide to play our music on your radio station.

we’ll be happy to send you our material if you need it. we’ve got 2 EPs (the last one is the one recorded during a live exhibition), videos, etc.

for any other information, please don’t esitate to ask me.
    thank you very much,

    Hi there.

We are the progressive rock/ jazz fusion band from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Band’s name is FROM.UZ. Using this name we’ve tried to show that we are From Uzbekistan. Band was formed in 2004 and since that time we’ve released 4 albums (Audio Diplomacy, Overlook, Seventh Story and Quartus Artifactus). During the years of existence we’ve played a number of local gigs and even participated in Baja Prog festival in Mexico in 2007.

Now we are looking for people who can see potential in us and ready to help getting our music out there.

In April 2011 we released our fourth album Quartus Artifactus, that became an acoustic anthology of FROM.UZ compositions. Album is available at fromuz.bandcamp.com/album/quartus-artifactus

Also we have a new single, named No More… that have not been released anywhere. You can find it here fromuz.bandcamp.com/album/no-more-single

Please have a listen and don’t hesitate to get in touch if our music finds its way to you.

    All the best, FROM.UZ.

Hello, you recently have broadcast a brazilian song CAÇA A RAPOSA, by BRAZILIAN fusion group from ’70s AZYMUTH (with a “Y”), but the image/figure of the album corresponds to another album, of another group (trio) with similar name: AZIMUTH (with a “I”) , this other AMERICAN group is from ends ’70s, John Taylor’s trio with Norma Winstone and Kenny Wheeler.

As for the music of the FUSION 101: Brillant! LO MEJOR, CHE !!!!

    Best Regards

      Hello Miguel,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Live 365 has a few issues with the album covers of the music I play, since a lot of it is out of print. I’ve fixed the error and now show the correct album cover for Azymuth, whose members are José Roberto Bertrami (born February 21, 1946, in Tatui) on acoustic piano and keyboards, Alex Malheiros (born August 19, 1946, in Niteroi) on bass, and Ivan Conti (born August 16, 1946, in Rio de Janeiro) on drums.

      Cheers,

Yes, very good group. The first time to that I listened AZYMUTH, they looked like to me the “Weather Report” of Brazil. I listen them since 1979. In those days, it was very difficult to get your records (vinyl or tape).

    Hi There Luis,
I have an old tape I got from a friend years ago, and it has a wonderful 23 minutes jazz-rock fusion piece and I don’t know its name or who plays it. It sounds like Jean Luc Ponty and some like Mahavishnu Orchestra. I have hard lots of artists but haven’t found the one that plays that piece.
Is there a way a could send you a mp3 preview and you would perhaps help me clear this mistery?
    best regards

    Hello,

I’d like to send you a CD for aiplay consideration. The CD is called
Al Garcia: All Things Must Converge: 21st Century Progressive Classical Jazz-Rock Fusion from a Master Multi-Instrumentalist.

    www.algarciamusic.com

    www.cdbaby.com/algarcia3

    Here are some reviews:

“Alfred’s unique composing style incorporates classical elements with fusion chops, the end result sounding like a cross between Beethoven and Allan Holdsworth’s I.O.U. His bass playing should appeal to fans of Jeff Berlin … his guitar style might attract fans of Holdsworth.”

    - Guitar Player Magazine

“Imagine a musician with equal facility on bass AND guitar. He plays guitar like Allan Holdsworth and plays bass like Jeff Berlin. Is he human? Is he from this planet?”

    - Prog4you.com (Jeffrey Ryan Smoots)

“…this is a great record, featuring beautiful guitar tones and often-breathtaking playing from beginning to end.”

    - Guitar Player Magazine (Barry Cleveland )

“What great music! I love your tone and touch and the ideas are wonderful –
beautiful, creative stuff — and on both guitar and bass! Wow!”

    - Michael Manring (Bassist Extraordinaire)

“A brilliant composer and guitar player, Al Garcia released what we can call an excelent example of jazz rock oriented fusion although the material on the CD goes beyond narrow classifications. Unexpected and stimulating, the music on “Alternate Realities” is a journey through the universe of jazz rock and progressive fusion blended by a master musician. From monumental compositions, lighting guitar solos, latin percussion interventions to sophisticated ethereal textures, this album has everything to delight fusion fans. ”

    Hi There

I just discovered your website while browsing for information about 1970s jazz rock/fusion.
I am desperately trying to identify two tracks which were used as backing music by the late, great British DJ Tommy Vance on his classic Friday Rock Show. I have listened in vain to hundreds of soundclips on sites such as Amazon and now I am seeking expert help!
I have mp3s of the clips from old radio shows I can send you if you would be willing to listen to them and hopefully end my misery!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hope to hear from you…..

Tommy Vance used to use George Martin’s “Theme One” as recorded by Van Der Graaf Generator – maybe this is one of the pieces your looking for.
