Welcome to the on-line home of Spencer Beard, Sheila Hoffman and the S2Cycling team. Here you can read about our tandeming adventures as well as our personal life stories. The Stuff section covers anything that isn’t specifically S2Cycling, Spencer or Sheila. including updates on our downsizing process and new condo. And don’t miss reading all about our newest food choice shift, called Eat to Live based on the book by Joel Fuhrman, MD. Other new content: Sheila’s new approach to her osteoporosis and Spencer’s becoming a PE teacher!

We’ve been together since September 6, 1983. Originally from Salem, Oregon (Spencer) and Newport, Rhode Island (Sheila), we’ve made our home in Seattle, Washington for the past twenty plus years. We started riding a tandem in 1999 and in February of 2001 we helped start the Evergreen Tandem Club and organized the hugely successful 19th annual Norhwest Tandem Rally Memorial Day Weekend, 2004 in Lacey, WA.

Generally Spencer does all the joint story-telling and Sheila does the photography and web site design. All photos can be viewed larger by clicking on them. Then click anywhere to close them. Sheila has a new camera. It’s still tiny and fits in Spencer’s back pocket but it now has a generous 3.5” LCD making it easier to frame images while moving on the tandem. It’s a Sony DCS-T300. Sheila offers complete graphic design services for small businesses-- everything you need in one place, at an affordable price including custom designed logos, business cards, web sites and more. Be sure to stop by her web site for a visit.

We hope you’ll enjoy the stories and photos we share here. Please feel free to Email us at: Sheila@S2Cycle.com  or  Spencer@S2Cycle.com.
