Prescott Cost-of-Living Drops  Prescott is just about average--literally--according to its ranking in the national cost-of-living figures for the first quarter of 2012. Prescott's composite index was 100.2, versus a national norm of 100.00.  Housing costs helped drive the compositive index lower with a ranking of 104.6, again showing Prescott housing costs not that much more expensive than the national average.  Other Arizona cities participating in the cost-of-living survey and their composite rankings were:  Scottsdale (116.1), Flagstaff (111.7), Lake Havasu City (106.4), Yuma (104.6), Sierra Vista (102.8), Phoenix (96.3) and Tucson (95.7).

spacer Chamber Golf Tournament Coming June 5  The Chamber's first golf tournament since 2010 is scheduled for Tuesday, June 5 at the private, prestigious Hassayampa Golf Club.  Central Arizona Partnership will co-host the tournament. You could win a new Chevy Cruze for a hole-in-one, courtesy of Lamb Chevrolet!  The tournament will begin at 1:30, with a full dinner at 6:00.  The cost to play in the tournament is $125 per person.  If you would like to donate a raffle prize or discuss sponsorship opportunities, call Chamber CEO David Maurer, (928) 445-2000, ext. 115.
