About Stanton Millworks

In 1931, Richard J. Huseman founded the Richard J. Huseman Co., today known as HGC Construction, on a foundation of quality craftsmanship and client relationships. A vital part of this business was the millwork shop, now known as Stanton Millworks. The millwork shop augmented the projects at that time and still does today, because it allows millwork to be processed on a smaller scale while controlling the cost.

During the 1960’s the shop was run by Willie Werning, who learned the millwork trade in Germany before immigrating to the United States. Willie managed the millwork shop for over 30 years and throughout this time was very influential in helping the business grow into what it is today. It was during this time that the shop expanded by adding more equipment and employees and allowed them to take on more work.

In 1995, after Willie retired, John Zembrodt assumed management responsibilities of the shop. John had been working in the millwork shop for 12 years and had completed his apprenticeship under the master cabinetmaker, Willie. Today, John and his staff have an eye for furniture level quality and the experience to create pieces that can handle the institutional environment.

Stanton Millworks delivers custom millwork fabrications that are unmatched in the industry. Stanton Millworks can create custom pieces for the high end residential marketer or merchandising pieces for retail stores with out having to follow commercial construction channels.
