Potential Fire Station and Apparatus Closures
San Diego City Fire Department Closure Map
Listed below are all the fire stations in the city of San Diego that house more than one fire apparatus and firefighting crew. Each of these fire stations has the potential to have one of its firefighting crews removed. The engine closures will cause response time to get longer throughout the city. The lengthening of response times takes the SDFD further away from NFPA 1710 standard of 5 minutes for 90% of incidents. Currently, the SDFD responds to approximately 50% of incidents within 5 minutes, before the brown outs.
