Inside Employees' Minds. Navigating the new rules of engagement.

Generation gap extends to work views

Mercer's What's Working™ survey, conducted among nearly 30,000 employees in 17 markets worldwide from Q4 2010 to Q2 2011, offers provocative new insights into the minds of the global workforce today.

The findings show a deep split by age group and provide an intriguing view of the youngest workers – Generation Y, or the millennials. Mercer's research shows that this youngest employee demographic tends to be most satisfied with their organizations and jobs, yet also most likely to be considering leaving their employers now.
