With more than 800 trained volunteers working in over 200 detention facilities across 25 states, Daughters of Destiny is making a tremendous impact on incarcerated women in prisons around the nation.

spacer When Mel and Annie Goebel, the founder and president of Daughters of Destiny, first approached the team at Mindflint about taking on the redevelopment of their website (www.daughtersofdestiny.org), we knew it was a great fit from day one. Their passion to help women who have spent time in prison is absolutely infectious, and their own story of restoration is truly an inspiration (click here to read it…you’ll be glad you did). All that to say, it was an honor to partner up with them and their dedicated team.

Here are a few of the elements that made the Daughters of Destiny project unique:

  • Fully customized, top-to-bottom graphic design
  • Easy-to-use, WordPress-based content management system that gives the DOD administrative staff full control over the content on the site
  • Integrated blog, also managed through the same WordPress admin area as the rest of the site
  • Promotional “slider” on the home page that incorporates both embedded video and static imagery, built to be fully compatible with mobile devices

Click the screen shot below to visit the new site, and take a minute to see what Daughters of Destiny is doing and how you can get involved.
