DEFILER ANNOUNCES NEW RECORD AND PUBLISHING DEAL WITH RAZOR & TIE

DEFILER ANNOUNCES NEW RECORD AND PUBLISHING DEAL WITH RAZOR & TIE

New Studio Album To Be Released This Fall

Preview First Track "Lucky 38" Off Album HERE

(New York, NY) - Northern California developing life-core act DEFILER has signed new worldwide deals with Razor & Tie and its publishing arm, Razor & Tie Music Publishing.

DEFILER is currently working on its R&T debut which will be released later this year. The band is self-producing with mixing duties being handled by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (Suicide Silence, Chelsea Grin, The Acacia Strain).

The band is making a new track available now for preview. To check out "Lucky 38" click HERE.

"Words cannot describe how excited I am about signing with Razor & Tie. I've always had massive respect for the label, because of the diverse roster and bands I love, and they're just the greatest people ever," explains lead singer Jake Pelzl. He continues, "I feel like the new album is a true showcase to what all of us can do as a band.
We're going further with the melody, the brutality; I'm playing around with lots of different lyrical ideas. I hope for it to really make an impression in the world of heavy music."

DEFILER recently toured supporting Wayne Static and Polkadot Cadaver. The band will head out on the road in support of the new album this fall.

DEFILER has already earned itself a buzz with "Cryomancer" (which generated over 1.7 million views on YouTube). The song also appeared on last summer's Mayhem Hatewear compilation, For The Headbanger's 2. In 2010, DEFILER released its debut album, Pangaea, and in 2011 Jamey Jasta re-issued the album on his Stillborn Records imprint.

DEFILER is led by 18 year old front man Jake Pelzl and is rounded out by Ethan Lewis - (guitar), Tony Bigley -(guitar), Ian Poole - (drums) and Jesse Dhaliwal - (bass) and managed by Steve Ross for No Name Worldwide.

Defiler is the latest addition to independent label Razor & Tie's expanding roster that includes such artists as

It's a landmark for BRAD and one of the year's best records." - Artist Direct

DEE SNIDER'S NEW ALBUM DEE DOES BROADWAY OUT NOW TO RAVE REVIEWS

Deedoesbroadway.com

Snider Also Promotes First Autobiography

Shut Up And Give Me The Mic

Watch Dee Snider's Humorous New Video For "Mack The Knife" HERE

(New York, NY) - Dee Snider, the unmistakable front-man of the rock band Twisted Sister, has released his new studio album Dee Does Broadway(Razor & Tie) this week and has also just launched his album website Deedoesbroadway.com.The album features Dee's powerful voice and theatrical persona as he exudes his rock 'n' roll take on several Broadway classics. The new album coincides with the release of his first ever autobiography, Shut Up and Give Me TheMic (Gallery Books). Dee Does Broadway has been met with rave reviews:

"[Dee Does Broadway] melds the timeless melodies and passions of musical hits with the fire, intensity and energy of heavy metal. (Think Angela Lansbury meets Alice Cooper.)" Associated Press

"Dee Does Broadway finds the one-time frontman for Twisted Sister leaping into the Great White Way's songbook with both feet, albeit with his taste for metal intact with arrangementsthat recall theater-ready rock operaa...Bombastic"
Los Angeles Times

"Broadway like yo've never heard before. Snider has a knack for churning out metal versions of standard songs...Stellar"
Dallas Voice

Dee also appeared this week on a number of television shows: Fox and Friends, CNN's Starting Point with Soledad O'Brien (hosted for two hours), , Fox News- FOX 411, NBC New York Live, etc.Catch Dee this month as one of the cover of Revolver Magazine with The Black Veil Brides:

Dee Does Broadway

Dee Does Broadway features several special guest stars, including Broadway and television icon Bebe Neuwirth on the Damn Yankees song "Whatever Lola Wants," Broadway legend Patti LuPone on a West Side Story Medley "Tonight/Somewhere," pop icon Cyndi Lauper on Sweet Charity’s "Big Spender," Clay Aiken of American Idol on the Guys and Dolls classic "Luck Be a Lady Tonight," the stars of the Broadway hit musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert(Will Swenson, Tony Sheldon, and Nick Adams) on South Pacific's "There Is Nothin' Like A Dame," Mark Wood of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra playing violin on the Phantom of the Opera ballad "Music Of The Night," as well a special rendition of "The Joint Is Jumpin" from Ain't Misbehavin' with Dee's oldest son, Jesse Blaze Snider. Songs are also featured from classic Broadway shows including Cabaret, Chicago, The Threepenny Opera, Anything Goes, and Sweeney Todd. Dee Does Broadway was spawned from a number of voicemails exchanged featuring "Broadway Tunes" sung as messages between Dee Snider and Alice Cooper in 2009 and Dee's 2010 Broadway run in the Broadway rock musical Rock of Ages. Inspired to take this musical journey, the classically trained countertenor (who sang with his high school choirand always loud as hell) Snider enlisted producers Bob Kulick and Brett Chassen (whom Dee worked with on the metalized Frank Sinatra tribute called Sin-atra). The album was mixed by the legendary Ric Wake and Gustavo Celis, and features the incredible orchestrations and playing by the renowned composer/arranger Doug Katsaros and the bass guitar playing of one of rock's prolific players, the legendary Rudy Sarzo. The amazing guitar and drum work was all by co-producers Bob Kulick and Brett Chassen. Never straying from his rock roots, Dee Snider puts his own unique spin on musical favorites...It may not be metal...but it definitely rocks!

Shut Up And Give Me The Mic (Gallery Books)

Filled with entertaining anecdotes and candid confessions, Shut Up and Give Me the Mic takes you through the good times and bad with a heavy metal star who worked as hard as he played, and who did it all for his wife, four kids, and millions of fans. As lead singer and songwriter of Twisted Sister, Dee Snider became the poster boy for heavy metal, hair bands, and the wild side of rock. Now, in his twisted new memoir, he reveals the real stories behind the crazy makeup, the big hair, and badass hits like "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock." In his journey from every parent's worst teenage nightmare to Renaissance man, Dee avoided the usual pitfalls associated with rock stars. But that didn't stop Tipper Gore and the Parents Music Resource Center from targeting him-a fight that led him to testify before Congress with Frank Zappa. He may have been slapped with a Parental Advisory warning label, but, through it all, Snider stayed positive and focused on being the best he could be.

Dee Snider is best known as the lead vocalist and front man for legendary rock/metal band Twisted Sister. The band have released six studio albums, six live albums and their hugely successful 2006 holiday record, A Twisted Christmas (Razor & Tie). 1984's Stay Hungry produced the classic singles "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock." Snider has also previously released one solo album, 2000's Don't Let the Bastards Wear You Down. Dee Snider has been a mainstay in pop culture, appearing as a commentator on several VH1 productions, as well as his own A&E reality show "Growing Up Twisted," ABC's "Celebrity Wife Swap," and was a contestant on the latest season of NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice." Snider also starred as Dennis Dupree in a three month run in the Broadway hit "Rock Of Ages." Dee also has his own nationally syndicated radio show House Of Hair, which airs on more than 200 stations in North America.
