If you live in and around the viewing area of CBS11 TV
Dallas-Fort Worth, you live in the Upper Trinity River Watershed. A
watershed is a drainage basin that collects precipitation, which
eventually drains to a common water body (e.g., stream, lake,
wetland and ocean, etc.). Watersheds come in all shapes and sizes.
They cross city, county, state, and national boundaries. No matter
where you are, you're in a watershed!
At CBS11, we’re taking steps to protect our watersheds and
help North Texas better understand the factors that influence their
environmental quality of life. Thanks to our partnership with the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Texas State Soil and
Water Conservation Board and the communities in your local watershed, we're able to bring this
site to you.

stories related to the Upper Trinity River watersheds, a calendar of
events and a viewer
generated image gallery of the local environment. We also welcome your feedback and suggestions for
environmental topics that interest you and your family.
Each individual person can play an important role by taking everyday
